I received an email last night from one person from Dedicated Moves Team which was meant to be sent to someone called Ellie. The content was as below
Thank you for contacting Telstra’s Dedicated Moves Team and letting us know you’re moving home. We understand that moving can be stressful and are here to make your move as easy as possible.
For your quick reference, here’s what we discussed:
•We will disconnect your old address on 17/11/2016.
•We will connect your telephone and internet services at your new home, <<THIS IS WHERE THE ADDRESS WAS WRITTEN>>, WA , by midnight on 18/11/2016. We can connect these services without you needing to be home.
•The cost of your move will be $59.00. The cost of your new modem will be $168.00. These charges will appear on your first bill after your move.
Making your move a great experience is important to us so we will be here to help every step of the way. Our team will be looking after your move from this point on, so there is no need for you to do anything more. We will check in with you on the day of connection to make sure you’re happy that everything has gone to plan.
I live in Sydney and I did not request the above, but my service got disconnected.
Not only the disconnection is frustrating me but the fact that I am moving to a new place in a week time is also giving me a headache.
The reason is that neither Telstra nor the NBN will put the service back in 1-2days, which then means I won't be able to get the service connected to the new place on time.
I believe that consultant has used my information while putting the above emailed request and my details were changed without my consent.
I need some solution for all of the services to be back online and seeking compensation for my privacy unsecurely kept and modified.
I am taking this issue seriously so I need Telstra to be considerate.
Thank you
