I have a series of questions.
I live in a block of Townhouses that have a telephone junction box on the end of the building which feeds to the induvidual co-joined apartments.
Each Townhouse / Apartment has 3 outlets for telephones being :
Main line Wall Socket is in the Master Bedroom.
Ext line Wall Socket 1 is the Lounge Room.
Ext line Wall Socket 2 in the Guest Bedroom.
These questions related on power requirements of TELSTRA NBN KIT.
( 01 ) Does the Internal NBN Kit require power from a 240vlt outlet ???
( 02 ) If so, what happens in the event of a power failure ???
( 03 ) Would the standard wall mount socketed phones still work on the NBN ???
These Questions are related to my Wall Phone Sockets above :
( 01 ) I have 2 phones attached one to the Main Line In Wall Sockets being Master Bedroom and the other in the lounge Ext Line
Wall Socket 1.
For instance if the NBN KIT is installed in the Master Bedroom Main Line Wall Socket and i want to connect a Phone to the
Lounge Room Ext Line Wall Socket 1 and still use my Computer Connected via cable to the Ext Line Socket 2 in the Guest
Bedroom would my Wall Sockets in the Lounge and Guest Bedroom have to be Re-wired ???
( 02 ) If i were to have the NBN KIT installed in the Guest Bedroom Ext Line Wall Socket 2, would i have to have the other wall
Sockets in the Master Bedroom Main Line In as well as the Lounge Room Ext Line Wall Socket 2 Re-wired to support Wall
cabled phones ???
Regards.
