A couple of questions on NBN?

I recently got an email from Telstra to say that the NBN will arive in my area shorlty (Before end of July if all goes well).

It goes on to say that "as a thanks for being a Telstra customer, we'll make it easy for you to move to the network with no changes to your monthly bill, plan, contract period or home phone number".

I am wondering does that also include the $10 credit I am getting? As currently I get ADSL2+ 500GB for $78 and have been out of contract for years (Not that this bit matters)

The only plan close to me on the NBN is 500GB $90 a month.

I don't use my home phone with Telstra (Budget, so its expensive for calls) and I have a grandfathered Telstra mobile plan at $30 a month if I need to make any calls.

I average around 280GB a month of data, so I don't need anything higher.

The lowest speed tier will do me anyway, which will be double my current 12Mbps.

I would rather stay with Telstra as I have a Tbox that I like for the EPG, and I know there is a new TelstraTV coming out this year with an EPG also.

Lastly, they did say in the email that they will send me a new modem free of charge if the current one isn't NBN ready, which I assume the T-Gateway TG797n V3 isn't compatible?

Cheers!

Oz
