Fixed Wireless NBN - bad signal, poor customer service from Telstra.

Okay, so I've had the NBN for a few months now. Fixed Wireless; apparently I'm one of the unlucky ones that live in an area where Fibre can't access (despite living 8km from what I would call a major centre).

Anyway, yesterday I got myself upgraded to 50/20 from 25/5. This is after I had tried for the last month or so to get upgraded, and then when I inquired yesterday, Telstra Billing informed me the order had been "cancelled" for an unknown reason. When I told them no-one had told me, they expeditied the upgrade, and as of this morning I had an awesome connection (over 40 Mbps through Speedtest) and was really happy.

For the past few hours, I've had two amber signal lights on my NTD instead of three green ones. Given I live about 100m from the tower and have an unobstructed LOS, this makes no sense. As you can imagine, due to the loss in signal strength, my connection has dropped.

So after 1hr 30 in queue to Telstra NBN support, someone answers the phone. After I identify myself and given them my number etc, the moment I say "Yeah hi, I've got a problem with my NBN connection..." they hang up. And guess what? They didn't even call back with the "Yeah sorry, the line cut off" like they normally do.

As of 2224hrs 08/04/2016, this is my connection -

Yeah, pretty good for 50/20 huh? /sarcasm. I live in a small town and do not believe that this late at night, there's THAT much usage to cause that much of a drop, especially on 50/20.

NBN has caused nothing but issues. I'll cop the sometimes low speeds. I'll even cop the fact it sometimes takes HOURS to reconnect to the NBN after powercycling the NTD box, and the Red ODU light being solid for the entire time it takes to reconnect.

But this? The fact I now have a speed boost I'm paying for, and it's given me absolutely nothing? Couple that with the atrocious customer service I had earlier?

Not happy.

So my question is this:

Telstra, anyone - how do I fix this? How do I get what I'm paying for? What the hell happened to my signal strength, where I was always on three green with the occasional flicker to two yellow, and now it's the reverse?

And why the hell does it take me so long to reconnect to the NBN once I power cycle the NTD? I wasn't kidding when I said hours.
