Gateway Max all leds GREEN no internet

I am currently in the "middle" or maybe, I hope, near the end of a monumental Telstra/NBNCo screwup.

(for me and my business it is monumental anyway)
(search keithatpda if you want the story, but you don't need to to answer this)

This is a QUESTION, please do not get in the loop ok, just comment.

NBNCo have activated the UNI-D1 port on my existing V1 NTD box.
Checking with my browser.
My Gateway max is connected and says it is on line with no errors, no problems.
I believe this means the user name and password are correct.

IN FACT there is actually NO internet connection.

I need a Telstra NBN expert to tell me what this means.

I think it means all the nbnfw connections are good.
BUT that Telstra have not activated their part?

Is that correct?

If YES could Telstra's nbn techos throw the switch?

We let the Telstra back office people keep doing their thing, not telling them we turnded it ON till later when they decide we can turn it on?

Am I DREAMING?
I guess so, BUT it would be so nice to get connected TODAY.

BTW phone tech support does not seem to be working today and the people I spoke to last friday do not returm calls, the phones in the phillipines seem to be having a bad day.
