I applied for the NBN 12-18 months ago and was sent out the start up package as I was told that the NBN was available. I live 15kms from Dubbo nsw. A technician visited my premises and checked my signal. He said he was only getting 90% signal and that this was insufficient for reliable connection speed. As there is a rise between my home and the NBN antenna, the tech advised maybe a 6mtr tower mounted on the roof would help. I agreed to this, but was advised these towers were in short supply. I was prepared to wait my turn for a tower. I was later contacted by Telstra who advised that wireless NBN was probably not going to work in my area, and I would have to wait until September 2015 for satellite to become available. September has come and gone and still no contact fromTelstra and no NBN. I was sent a little Samsung phone and told to use the hotspot function until NBN could be installed.
I would like to be contacted by Telstra to advise exactly when I can access NBN services. I have been a loyal customer for years, have home phone and at times up to 3 mobiles and ADSL internet services with Telstra and just feel like I have been fobbed off.
