No call history on the TH89 Telstra handset

I have received the Telstra Technicolor TH89 wireless handset and it has been paired with the new modem required for NBN but everytime I look at call history on the phone it is not retaining any numbers. The calls list is always empty even though people have called. How can I fix this problem?

I unpluged my Fixed Wireless Nbn box to change a power Board and it now wont fire up.

its Power buttons green, but its status is orange and flashing. no other lights come on. 

what will fix this?

Knowing that I would receive NBN on Mondat the 6th i did a speed test to check on Sunday the 5th ,my rate , Ping 24, download 14.31, upload 0.88. With NBN it is Ping 25, download 14.65, upload 0.98. What happened to the faster speeds. Nice looking modem though.

A word of warning if you are thinking of signing up to NBN as you might be better off staying on ADSL1.  This is the speed I am currently experiencing each night (being the time when I need to use my internet)  I have phoned Telstra and been told that this is due to congestion in my area.  This was 2 weeks ago and I still have not heard if and when it will be fixed.  Not Happy!!

NBN business order places but haven't heard anything in a month!!

So I ordered an nbn business dot bundle, on the 11th of February, there was a problem with ordering it through the website so someone rang me and I reordered the bundle through the phone sales team, to which I was informed I would receive an email with the reference number and it should be installed and modem sent within 3-5 business days. It is now the 8th of march and I have called the Telstra business team at least 10 times since then and all I get is that I haven't been assigned a case manager and I will within two working days. This has happened 5 times now and no one has called. Does anyone know how to get a case manager because I need this internet for my business and cannot afford to wait any longer.

Its a long story that I wont bore you with now but we are switching from ADSL2+ to the NBN (FTTN) and have ended up with three different versions of the Sagemcom F@st 5355 modem and one Telstra TV (Roku)???

 

1 x f@st 5355 version OSM -L-190816

1 x f@st 5355 version G-ADSL-240616

1 x f@st 5355 version G-VDSL-240616

1 x Telstra TV (Roku) Model 4200TL

 

What is each one for?

 

We currently have our ADSL connection working an NO advice when the NBN might be connected, best advice from sales rep was 3 weeks up to 2 months. That was 5 weeks agon on the 2nd of February 2017.

 

 

 

 

Cannot access telstra.com.au via NBN

Since cutting over to the NBN (FTTN) I was unable to access the telstra.com.au site. The browser would just sit blank. Other sites worked fine.

Clearing the browser and DNS Cache and stopping the firewall made no difference.

I'm running Windows 10.

Running a VMWare version of Win7 worked fine on the same machine !

Disabling, then re-enabling the network device solved the problem initially, but it returned a few days later (had to disable / enable again)

Does anyone have any thoughts as to what might be the cause?

I never had this problem on ADSL.

Trouble connecting D-Link DSL-4320L modem router to NBN

Hi,

 

I have recently moved into a house with NBN (FTTP) and would like to replace the Telstra Gateway with my own modem router - D-Link DSL-4320L

 

I have had a lot of trouble doing this. I have spoken to D-Link and been able to set it up as a router, however I do not want this and want the Dlink to be both modem/router

 

I have run the setup wizard and tried connecting via PPPoE however this does not work and the internet light just flashes red. What am I doing wrong/not doing?? Do I need to contact Telstra to obtain more information and try a different method of connecting ?? Please any help or advice is greatly appreciated as this is now starting to drive me crazy. Cheers

 

 

 


HFC NBN Dropouts

I had the HFC NBN installed 27/2/2017, after having a pretty much rock solid Cable broadband.

 

From the start I have had dropouts, multiple per day (>10) and as often as every 10 minutes.  I logged a fault for the intermittent service 2/3/2017, and was promised a technician visit 3/3/2017 but they never showed.

 

Many discussions & arguments with support later and even a complaint directly to NBN Corp and I now have an appointment for 21/3/2017.  Fantastic customer service.

 

So now I have a regularly failing internet service and hence phone service.  Was far better off with the slower cable internet and copper telephone line.

 

For me, the problem is the NBN cable modem (NTD) which is an Arris CM8200.  When I lose internet, in a couple of minutes the cable modem will turn off all lights and after 30 seconds it will do a hard reset - it will turn on the power light, do a self test, then resynchronise with the network and start working again.

 

Does anyone else have this problem?  Is it a known problem with CM8200 software or is it a hardware problem?  Even escalating to a case manager with Telstra is getting me nowhere - always I will be called back in 2 to 3 days.

Slow NBN Speeds

We just had NBN set up today ,  i did a speed test shortly after and it was 23mbs , that was around 11:30 am , then when i did a speed test later this afternoon and the speed was 3 Mbs ,   my speed prior to NBN was 1-3 Mbs .

 

I do realise that with extrea use at peak times the speed may slow down down but peak time is peak time because thats when we all want to use it , not very helpful having high speed when your not at home to use it.

 

Is this variation in speed normal ?

We got NBN hooked up today , we want to change the name of the gateway and the wifi password but when we use the telstra web page to change this and use the user name and password provided it justr says its invalid

 

please help

 

also is there a live chat ? as in i want to chat online with a telstra tech ?

I had the NBN installation carried out yesterday and it went smoothly. I had already received the Self-Install kit prior to the installation work. When should I carry out the self-install process? Do I have to wait for something else to happen before proceeding?

I have recently made the move to the NBN and I am signed up to the 100mbps speed.

 

I am experiencing great web streaming speed (4k youtube) without much of an issue, but when I am trying to download some things I am getting speeds that are well below ADSL 1. An example of this is trying to download a Windows update which took 2 days non stop to download...

 

Has anyone else experienced this problem or know what could cause it??

 

speedtest.net reports are very inconsistent. Usually the upload is around 30mbps and download is around 2mbps when it works. The puzzling bit for me is there is an initial spike in the download speed which is consistent with what i see when downloading...

I have placed a NBN order online on Monday the 6th and got a referemce number.

However, until now (Thrusday, the 9th), I still have not got any order statsu update from Telstra.

 

How long do i have to wait before i can get an order number to track online?

currently, I only have a reference nubemr which cannot be tracked online.

All Lights on - No Internet NBN Fail by Telstra

After waiting for over 3 months, finally got my NBN equipment installed on Tuesday. However the technician couldnt get it working and said he had done everything from his end. All the lights are on the NBN box and all lights are green on the Telstra box. I log into the Telstra gateway and it states i am connected to the Internet however i cannot access anything on the net and recieve an error stating my modem is not configured properly. Telstra have advised an NBN technician needs to come out and have booked in another appointment for 14th of April. It will be 4 months in total without internet or phone  because of Telstra. What i cant understand is why does a technician need to come out when everything is installed and working. Isnt it just a back end configuration?

I transfered from ADSL to FTTN NBN today...
It was working fine now its not..
I cant even log into the gateway as its not loading or taking ages to load

I did orginally log into the gateway to change the adsl settings when I 1st plugged the modem in is there anything I need to do now?

Im also trying to add the time and date to the phone and it wont work...

Its advertised as its all as simple as plug in and away you go and its far from it.

Lets see if I understand why my new NBN has suddenly gone slow...

I connected the NBN on March 3rd.

Speed was 23dn / 5up.

For a few days , this speed continued while my order went through the system.

This morning, my modem was restarted remotely at 8:17am.

Now I am suffering speeds around 3-5mbps but uploads are still 5mbps

 

Might it have taken a few days for the NBN to apply the CVC limits for my area?

 

Might I have been enjoying full bandwidth until the CVC limit kicked in this morning?

 

My modem is connecting at 28 / 6 , so my service is being throttled somewhere.

 

I called Telstra and all they could do was send out a new modem (doubtful fix). (They confirmed that my modem was connected at 28/6)

 

I was getting 16mbps on ADSL2+

 

Who can I call about this ??

Process of switching NBN HFC to Telstra

I've recently signed up to switch from Optus NBN HFC to Telstra NBN HFC and it looks like the Telstra hardware has been delivered today... However checking the order status the 'installation' isn't scheduled until 20th March...

 

Given that I've already got the NBN Cable Modem installed & running with Optus... Is there any way I could expidite the switch to Telstra rather than waiting until the 20th... There is no physical installation needed at all (other than me putting the Telstra router behind the cable modem rather than the Optus Router).

ADSL & Landline not working

We are awaiting NBN activation, have received our Gateway. When I left home this morning our landline phone was working & so was our Bigpond Broadband. I returned home this afternoon to discover non functional landline & broadband. No call from Telstra to say that our residence has been "switched" on & I am unable to call Telstra because my landline phone is not working. Cables are all connected indoors & the Service Staus for our area shows no interruptions. What do I do? We work Emergency Services & our confidential communication is often performed on the landline phone.
