I have been connected to the NBN for 2 weeks - everything working satisfactorily.
Yesterday, my home phone dial tone changed to a low hum and now I cannot make or receive landline calls. There is an NBN crew working on a node not far from my house (in country Vic).
I reported the fault to Telstra and I was able to confirm that yes the phone is plugged into the green point on the modem. I turned it off and on and also did a factory reset. None of these actions fixed the fault.
Telstra is sending me out another modem. Is this a common problem with the NBN modems? Will the new modem resolve this problem or is it more likely that the crew working on the node that has interfered with my service?
Any advice please.
