I'm seeing packet loss at precise 5min intervals on my connection. It's extremely evident on my video-link to my office (freezes up for a few seconds every 5 mins). It's ALWAYS at 4:31 or 9:31 eg. 12:34:31; 12:39:31; 12:44:31 etc.
I am cabled in via ethernet.
I have NO loss to my router.
I have NO loss default gateway IP listed on the WAN interface of my router.
The packet loss starts at the third hop, IP 144.130.212.209 (ie. my router, my router default gateway, then IP 144.130.212.209). Everything beyond this IP address exhibits this packet loss.
I've factory reset my router (Telstra Gateway Max, TG799VAC), tried it bridged with another router, isolated all equipment, tried multiple pcs. The problem ALWAYS occurs. Based on the ping plots I've done, it would appear that the issue commences beyond the edge of my network.
This has only started occurring after I moved to a new home (different FTTN node, different bundle).
Other than the packet loss, the connection is solid and I always get full speed throughput (100Mbps/40Mbps).
I have a static IP if that makes any difference.
Has anybody else experienced this weird and extremely annoying issue?
