Hi there, I have had my Telstra modem delivered (unbidden) a couple of months now. I have recently received a call from Telstra making an appointment to install the modem and to connect to the NBN about a week later.
(1). There has been no mention of any modem installation and/or connection fees in these discussions. Will I be the recipient of an unpleasant surprise after the installation and connection?
(2) Will I lose the present ADSL 2 internet connection and/or the home phone line between the installation of the modem and the actual connection to the NBN?
(3) My present ADSL Everday Home Phone Bundle is out of contract (2015). I have been told by Telstra that I will continue on that plan until I choose another one lthough I'll lose the $10 Bundle discount that I get at the present time. By connecting to the NBN through Telstra does this signal that you are somehow contracted to Telstra for 2 years or does one have to actually sign up to particular NBN Plan to be contracted? (The Telstra TV and Foxtel Plans are of no interest to me).
Thanks.
