HFC network - who is responsible for "Dial before you Dig" maps for HFC?

I raised a dial before you dig query which gave me info on the copper phone network from Telstra, but there was noting on the HFC which runs in a separate conduit under our nature strip (while the older 30pair copper cable is under the pavement).

When I queried Telstra using the email address provided with their responce, the guy who responded was totally unaware of the HFC (I don't know what planet he has been living on). I explained that it is currently supporting my Telstra Cable internet service and "cable TV " services, he advised that Telstra didn't support cable TV any longer.

I pointed out to him that Telstra do STILL deliver the Foxtel service over the HFC and asked if he could refer the query to someone who was more knowledgeable about the HFC.

The net result is that he, or someone else, is apparently going to arrange for a tech to come and have a look. (Maybe the same tech how installed my cable service last year?) but they couldn't give me a time for that visit.

I found that whole thing hard to believe,

I'm due to have NBN installed in a few months, but I'm wondering who owns the  HFC at present? Is it Telstra or NBN?

Has as anyone else have a Dial before you Dig enquiry that has provided HFC info? In many suburbs HFC is strung between power poles but in Haberfield NSW it is underground (although some final tail connections to homes are aerial).

thanks
