I have just had my nbn connected recently and the supplyed modem TG797n V3 does not have 5Ghz band network.
I have myself a Dlink DIR-890L router that i would like to use for the faster wifi speeds and greater range. So far I have the TG797 set to bridge mode so my dlink 890L handles the routing. The NTD is connected to the TG797's WAN port and an ethernet cable from the TG797 to the WAN port of my Dlink. The Internet is working fine on all of my WiFi and Ethernet devices.
However the "voice" light on the TG797 is off and my landline service is not working, is this correct? I would like it to work.
I have tested my network with the TG797 not in brigde mode and connected the same way and the voice service works, However I would like my expensive dlink dir-890l to handle the routing
