Why did we do it?Take the NBN and our ****FREE****TG-799Vac guarenteed to increase speed and leap tall buildings at a single blah blah blah.
Well we connected up the new modem designating that we presumably wanted to be crash test dummies for the just turned on FTTN in our neck of the woods.Modem worked ok for the couple of weeks on adsl with only one outage during thewhole  two week period.
The day came to switch us over to NBN and everything went well and worked as it should. That was on the Friday and since the following Monday we have had lock ups, freeze ups, drop outs ,reboots of modem,PCs,wifi, etc.Everyday the modem locks up some days twice others three to six times over twenty four hours and this has been going on like clockwork for weeks.Try and get support online for NBN. No sorry we don't do that and 'I'm damned if I'm going to sit for hours on the phone talking to someone in the Philippines whol leads me through  try thi,s try that, and reboot the modem.

Options as I see it

1 There is something wrong with the TG-799 VAC so just replace it with a modem that works ie the nice new ones that you arn't dumping on unsuspecting present clients.

2 Let us out of the remaining contract because the service is not a service.

3 Fix the damn system before you sign clients up for it.

This is positively the last time we will take any Telstra offering.

The really cheeky thing was to send us an email asking how Telstra did without an option to really find out what we thought or if it was even working.

Hopefully I can post this before the modem inexplicitly locks up again.
