Has anyone had a bad experience with being given conflicting information by Telstra in regards to the NBN. I was convinced in a recorded call that if I switched to NBN and signed a 2 year contract even though my house was for sale, there would be no problems when it came time to move. I could just take my new contract with me and if NBN to my new address when available. Hahaha! I rang to advise I would need my service suspended in three weeks time as I was moving locally but my new house wouldn't be available for 6months and I planned to travel away in the meantime. I was advised that this was possible but it would cost me $9 per month if I wanted to retain my existing phone number. Although this was contrary to what I was led to believe when signing on to the NBN, I accepted this. When I actually came to suspend the service, I was told that they would suspend it but I would still have to pay the $123.50 monthly fee! I am still in dispute with no resolution 10 days later in spite of being told all conversations were being recorded at the time. Is there not some way of linking all these conversations to my account so that someone can easily listen to what I was promised in the first and second place?
