UDP port 3724

Hi support. Are Telstra shaping or throttling traffic on port 3724 on NBN connections?

Having recently shifted from ADSL2 to the NBN I am experiencing severe issues with applications that utilise this port. No other applications so far are impacted and the application itself experiences partial disconnects, where some aspects remain connected and others stutter, mimicking severe packetloss.

Some research shows similar issues encountered by users who were with ISPs that have shaped or throttled traffic on port 3724.

Interestingly the issues did not occur on Telstra ADSL2, nor do they occur if I tether my desktop through my Telstra supplied mobile phone.

I live in the Kellyville Ridge area, I am experiencing very slow download speeds. I was informed yesterday by technical support that infrastructure improvement works were being conducted scheduled to be completed 18/10/2016. Can you advise what work is being undertaken to improve the service?

NBN down yet again

I am so unimpressed with the NBN in the Charmhaven area. For the second time in 2 weeks our NBN has gone down and with it our home phone. Last time it was out for 3 days and now according to service status it looks like it will be out until Tuesday. When I ring to try to find out why this is happening or what the problem is I get put through to an overseas call centre that clearly has no idea about the NBN. Last time this happened I spent 3hrs talking to someone overseas (his first day on the job too) and they still had no idea what the problem was.
Today I again tried to find out what the issue is and when we might get our services back and again it was a waste of time. Apparently Telstra feel like they can take away your services for days at a time without any notice and you are just expected to accept it and pay top dollar for a random service. I wish I had never got the NBN it is a constant headache. Now I just have to wait and see when or if our services will be restored. I am considering just leaving Telstra but even that will cost me money for breaking contract even though I am pretty sure getting zero service is them breaking contract.

NBN and my Messagebank password

Before NBN our messagebank with Telstra worked fine.

Now , with the NBN when we try to retreive messages we are told our password is incorrect. The call then terminates abruptly which adds to the frustration.

How do we fix this issue of the password rejection? Telstra should have made us aware of this when we changed to NBN!

Need codes for 3 month netflix offer

I have spoken to 9 different Telstra so called specialists and none have been able to help me yet. The last person has told me to come on here. I recently signed up for nbn and within that package was to receive 3 months free Netflix. I have setup the telstra TV and also setup my Netflix account however it's only showing that I have 1 month free. Everyone keeps telling me I should have an email with a code, I do have the email but there was no code on it for Netflix. There were codes for the other offers (Stan, Presto etc) but not for the Netflix option. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!! It's ridiculous that 9 telstra employees have not been able to help as yet and just palm me off to different departments.

Telstra Gateway Pro V7610

Hey Guys

Does anyone know how to put the telstra gateway pro V7610 into bridge mode?

I have a client that has NBN and needed the Analog lines for Fax and so Telstra DOT is obviously the only option. However i have cisco IOS routers at all my sites and want to bridge this connection to continue using my exisiting hardware.

It seems ridiculous that this is telstra's only option for businesses. I cannot seem to find the option anywhere on the custom telstra firmware on this device

Thanks

NBN installation inside home

Is the existing Telstra Bigpond cable used to connect the  NBN Connection Box to the NBN Utility Box?    If not, is the Bigpond cable removed by the NBN installer or left in place?   Ditto the phone line.

I'm having an issue conecting to NBN via my Gateway 2 Modem. WiFi is also not working.

New modem replaced yesterday and it worked for a total of 5 minutes before it stopped working.

All lights are on the modem.

I can connect direct to the NBN box on the wall but when I go thru the modem it does not work at all.

I am using a ethernet caple to connect.

It's affecting my home phone and Foxtel services.

Any help would be great thanks.

Terrible experience for NBN installaion

Hi there,
It's been already more than two months since I first applied for the NBN service from Telstra. Telstra has scheduled five appointments already during this period but only one technician has come on the third appointment and told me the installation was a failure. As for the rest four appointments, no technicians showed up and no one seems to inform me of this situation. I have been taken five unpaid leave just to wait at home for the technician to show up whole day, 8am-5pm. I was not a former Telstra customer and changed to Telstra as they have a reputation for excellent service and incredible internet speed. This is not the kind of service I am expecting, I'd rather say, even worse than TPG. In addition, for the waiting period i don't have landline internet connection as Telstra's customer service told me to cancel my adsl from TPG two days before the first installation date. Telstra did help me with this situation by providing me data for a mobile broadband. However, I have to call them every time to get the recharge and it takes at least 30mins for a single call. Today is the date for the fifth appointment, still no technician showed up. Then I think I have to go through this, I don't even know how to say it, horrible experience again. I am so tired of this, can someone help me with this case? I feel so disappointed towards Telstra. Please, someone please come to my aid.

Greenfield FTTN Connection - Who does what?

Hi All,

I'm in Kellyville, Greenfield, missed out on FTTP as it transitioned into FTTN area in Jul 2016.

I'm about to move into my new home built by Wisdom.

Wisdom tells me that they're not responsible for organising running the cable to my building - so who is?

My address doesn't show up on NBN's Service Prortal, I have every service Telstra can offer and I would love to stay with Telstra if someone can help solve my delema - but it would seem stupid if the only way to get internet was to order ADSL2+ then ask to be transitioned to FTTN when the FTTN node is literally 150m down the road and my area is clearly marked as FTTN.

NBN tells me that I need to get someone (either a RSP or Builder/Developer) to appy to add my address into the Service Portal? Does that sound right?

I need help! Can someone who's been through this or know how this work explain to me who is responsible for doing what so I can get the process started.

Thanks!
